Unpaused

Our move to New Hampshire put my carving on hold for a few months, but with the snow gone, the ground thawed, a new shed in place, and my CNC finally reassembled, I’m itching to start carving again.

Going big

My friend Mike had a few extra slabs of European beech lying around, which he very graciously decided to bestow on me! It was daunting, not having worked with hardwoods before, but I was able to spin them into a new product line. Having carved two of these beasts now, I’m feeling pretty comfortable putting a few more out there!

Not just online

In January I was contacted by the staff at Aspen’s Emporium and Flying Circus. They had seen some photos my publicist, aka Sarah, had posted and were interested in seeing some in person. Since then I’ve had a few selected works hanging, for sale, on their walls. So the next time you’re in the Colorado high country, stop in and have a look ;).

Thanksgiving, early

It’s nearing the end of my Etsy shop‘s first week and already five fine folks have entrusted me with their business, far more than I would have expected. Certain landscapes have always held special significance for me, and it seems that I’m not alone. I am honored to be, really, capturing peoples’ memories in wood. Very cool. Thank you for your trust.

I am also extremely grateful for Sarah’s networking prowess, getting the word out to the world. It’s humbling to know how much she wants this project to succeed. Thank you, Sarah!
